Not unexpected. I am up .8 from last week but that still means I'm on the right track as I'm not up all the weight I came home with from Chicago. Also this has been a hard week to get back on track. Truly it has. I wonder if it's a 3 or 4 week thing on the WW program. Consitency and sticking to it, isn't that why I've never lost weight before?
Well off to take care of my sick Caleb.
Bob's birthday party is Sunday, secretly hoping we don't have it as the food temptation and work associated with I just don't want to do.
Have a great day Mama's!

New shoes
This eating week (which only began yesterday for me!) is proving a challenge. Not sure why. Need to get back on track...now!
So, a friend suggested that my knee and foot problems may be shoe related and recommended going to a specific store for running shoes. This friend just began running 3 years ago or so (after she discovered her husband had been unfaithful...they're still together which is good) and is now doing races. This is one of the reasons I decided to start running...the idea that it becomes a way of life so that it helps me to maintain. I'm excited about these shoes...this guy seemed to know what he was talking about. I'm actually disappointed not to be heading to the Community Center until Monday!
Also, while at the store, they told me about a new run/walk group starting 3/1. It's a gradual way to begin running. Anyone interested? I'm thinking about it.
Where you been Mama K?

Is it really Friday tomorrow...
or should I say "Do I really have to weigh in tomorrow?" I'm not liking the scale this week. Chicago did me in by 2 lbs and I can't get them off again. I've not had the best week. I think a weekend of eating puts you off mentally. I really don't want Friday to come.
I truly can't believe how long it will take to loose weight. I'm going to have to do this for 6 months to a year and then follow a good plan to keep it off after that. Oh I will not think of that right now. But just about the new clothes I can buy!! Somewhere in the budget (I'll beg)!!
Have a good day Mama's!

relief
I lost 1.8 lbs. This morning my scale at home weighed me lighter than yesterday morning (about 3 lbs!), so maybe the extra sodium in the frozen dinner I eat at work has an impact. I am greatly relieved... I truly have been putting my efforts into this. So much so that I bought an icepack to go around my knees 'cause they're hurting like big dogs. Also gonna check into new athletic shoes. These shoes aren't old, but going someplace a friend recommended to get an expert fit.
This week, I have dinner out Friday night (we're still on for Joel to come over Kristi I'm assuming...), but other than that the plans are to eat at home where I can be in charge of what each dish is made of. With dinner out Friday, my goal is lots of exercise and keeping to my alloted daily points so that the flex points can cover Friday night.
Terrie- do you get the Hungry Girl emails? Today's was about The Cheesecake Factory. What a coincidence, eh?
Hope you all are having a good week so far. Love the sunshine!

Not looking forward to tomorrow...
Not sure what is going on here...my clothes aren't fitting differently and the scale isn't budging. I have exceeded the number of activity points they recommend while being conservative (not counting warm up and cool down, etc). I have kept within my points without using activity points. I did eat extra dessert on Sunday, but had flex points to do so (even though I should have controlled the urge better). I've done WW before and lost weight, without even working as hard as I am this time.
Baffled and discouraged.

Hello Mamas!!
Chicago was a dieters nightmare! BUT it was sure tasty -- from the Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake to the Chicago Deep Dish pizza and pancakes and bacon at the Original Pancake House! I did make a few good choices, salad for lunch, one piece of pizza, shrimp and black beans for dinner. I did however return home having gained 2 lbs. So I'm trying to curb my love of all these carbs and fat and sugar. Yesterday I had a few more craving for chips, bread and really any kind of food in general. I went over a few points too.
Today is ending well. I have 1 point left over from my daily points and truly am full. Now why don't I have any wine in the house to use up that extra point? I think the 3 cups of salad in the huge bowl from last nights dinner that only I ate some of, was the filling food I needed for the day.
Dinner was a Friatta -- boy was that delicious. I ate 1/2 of it!! Since the Friatta had 6 eggs, 4 pieces of bacon and 1 oz of parm cheese with veggies it was a great choice and filled me up. I can still taste it in my mouth. Bob isn't home so I get some of it for breakfast and lunch tomorrow too! I think I'll just eat 1/4 of it for breakfast though :)
I finally went back on the exercise wagon again :) Got on the elliptical for 45 minutes. That is a tough go and long one. It does work me out that is for sure, I am at about 75% cardio rate!
I will say this dieting, points, work out thing is a mind set in itself. I found after not following the plan this weekend yesterday was very hard. You truly have to desire it. I am determined to weigh down at least .4 lbs on Friday so I've got work to do.
I really want this extra weight off. I want to be able to wear nylons with skirts that don't roll down anymore at the waist band. I want to not have a belly bulge. I want to look good to my husband (although he says I do - love him!). I want to feel better and be healthy and live a long life! So with that said I'm back and Hello Mama's what is going on with you today!!!

i'm baaaaaack
oh hello hungry mamas! i've missed my friends but have been enjoying the period of denial as i ate my way through vacation and a crazy week! so, now i'm back and going to get refocused and not give up my journey.
so, i weighed in on friday with teeth gritted and seeing if i could make myself lighter by stepping gently onto the scale...oh the things we try! come on...you've done it too!
anyway, much to my amazement i'm DOWN .5! i laughed. how does THAT work?
it must have been that cross country skiing...seriously guys...that literally kicked my can. teh guide told us to take this trail...mainly uphill...h-e-l-l-o....haven't skiied in 20 years...and at that i think i've skiied twice...so, what goes up must come down right? icy, no way to stop except fall which means getting up which means exhaustion...calories burned! yippee! that's the only thing that kept me from taking those stinkin' skiis off! i am STILL sore and it's been what? almost a week? too funny!
hey i've been sharing with some friends about our blog and some said they would like to join for encouragement. what do you think? one of my neighbor friend's found this website with recipes and she said they were really great...she's going to email me and i'll send them on to you guys!
good to be back!
