busy, busy, busy...

Hey Mama T- like the new digs here!

This next week is going to be one of those crazy busy times that come around every once in a while. Thank goodness not all the time! Joel's birtday party is next Sat, and the next day I leave for Haiti. And to top it off, Merwyn is going to be out of town Tues-Friday. Exercise will be taking a backseat to getting my to do lists done. I hope to be able to do it but I can't make myself crazy about it.

I didn't track the last two days, but today told myself to at least do that. So, my goal is to keep my eating in order while dealing with some of my favorites...frosting and cake and brownies.

Hope all the Mama's have a good weekend!

A Milestone...

I hit the 10 lb. loss mark! YEAH!  I'm at 10 lbs., not 10.2 or 10.8 but 10 lbs exactly!  I will be measuring myself at shower time as I like to do that every 4 weeks.  Very exciting. I think it's been a while since I've been here.   I had a good week with 12 activity points!   Following the plan as best I can and exercising.

I've had a bit of a boring week truthfully.  Not a lot going on right now and we are indoors as I don't even like running errands in this weather.  We did play in the snow but truly not my favorite activity.   I should be cleaning my basement but well that isn't fun.    So I'm surprised a little that I've been able to keep loosing as I did do a little extra eating :)

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Prophetic

Mama T can it be that you predicted today's weigh in? I am surprised and quite pleased to report a 2.8 lb loss. What? My schedule has not calmed down- I have yet to make it to the Community Center this week- Monday was snow, Tuesday dishwasher delivery, I don't go on Wed because of WW's weigh in. I have exercised at home all 3 mornings though. I think I should get extra points for ab work with a kitten on me yesterday. That was different.

I've actually struggled this past week so I can't really explain the big loss. If I go with the "emotional stress" theory, I did address some issues with individuals this week so maybe that's it. Past that...I have earned less activity points and been less diligent with points so it's a mystery. A good one though.

So, my weight loss total is now 8.2 lbs and I've moved into a new decade on the scale, so will have to adjust my daily points allowance (Rats!). But I can do it. And will.

snow shoveling = 2 activity points

I know Bob will do use the snow blower when he gets home BUT I at least wanted to make a path out of my house and down to the mail box.  So out I go! Well 30 minutes later and the driveway is done!  I know it is still snowing but once I got out there it felt good. Fresh air, no kids and peace and quite.  Nice praying and thinking time and a workout on top of it!    I am lucky my kids did self entertain for that time (thank you Wii).  Now schooling is 1/2 done but had to update.

P.S. The UPS man is coming today (or is scheduled to) with my Talbots order and I wanted a path for him!

Back on the computer!

Well a busy weekend and off the computer most of it!  Missed responding to both your posts!

Wendy -- you have a lot of emotional stress with all you have to do in processing Meredith's death and everything attached to it!  You amaze me you can focus on WW at the same time.  Or maybe it's good to focus on something.  I think your 5 lb. weight loss is great!   I like that you researched that.  I had that nice loss before Chicago and then it took 2 weeks to get back to that same number. I couldn't understand why - but that was at the time I was settling the lawsuit against us and in court on the one against our realtor.   With a few other things thrown in too.   Thanks for that info!!   Hope you had a good weekend!

Megan -- feeling results is great!   I had a pair of sweat pants that are nice (your could wear out of the house) more track kind of pants and they have a zip and snap. Well I can keep that snap snapped now!  It is a good feeling.

For my weekend -- we went car shopping for 5 hours on Saturday. With minimal success.  $4,000 does not buy you a lot. Everyone wants you to finance.   Well NO we are not!  We did learn that with the governments bring in your older car and we will give you a tax credit on the purchase of a new one and I'll destroy your old one has left fewer cars 10 years old on the road AND with tax time people have some money and are buying cars.   BUT I trust in the Lord to find us the car that will be safe, reliable and right for us.   I did well eating.  Refused a McDonalds breakfast sandwich, while everyone else had one :(.   I did get 1/4 of Caleb's sausage biscuit - yumm.   Lunch - ugh, McDonalds again in the car. Had the grilled chicken sandwich only for 11 points.   Very light dinner - salad and 3 oz chicken breast on it.
Sunday - we went out to Nick's Pancake House in Ann Arbor. New restaurant, took over an old Big Boy. After the 20 minute wait with tired and hungry children after church.  I did order the omelet, with egg whites and sausage and cheese.  Missed it had cheese or I would of asked for that to be held.  Had the hashbrowns held. Asked for dry toast but got butter on it - ate 1 slice anyway, as we waited 40 minutes for our food!  It was all delicious but I won't return on a Sunday.   Then did our monthly stock up on our Whole Foods meat and unique items we can only get there.

Well this is a long post. Sorry.   Just happy to chat to you!    It is all about decisions and portion.   Not something I'm used to making decisions on size of my food - really just serve it up please!

Have a great week girls. I've prayed for us this morning so success to you!
